Condition: in very good vintage condition: no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. Both pieces ping well. As with many vintage items, there may be minor manufacturing imperfections and light cutlery marks consistent with age and use. These do not detract from the overall charm or functionality of the piece.

Vintage E.B Foley bone china teacup and saucer set, made in England. The stamps indicates that this is Foley E. Brain & Co Ltd from the period 1930 to 1936.

E. BRAIN & Co. LTD was a manufacturer of porcelain at Foley Works, Fenton in 1903-63. Elijah Brain took over the Foley China Works from Robinson & Son in 1885 but continued to use the mark of "Robinson & Son" until 1903 when they used their own mark. The use of the name 'FOLEY' extensively used on many different marks to 1963, with and without the initials 'E. B. & Co,' or the name in full. E Brain & Co took over the business of Coalport China in 1958 and since 1963 production has continued under the Coalport name.
